Ronja
Ronja is 16 years old the 15.th february. She has trained ours dogs since she could walk. I remember her with our first Rottweilier bitch, walking around with treats in her hand, and the dog did everything for her. Bea as the dog was named, was a supernice litle bitch, who had from the moment i got home from hospital with Ronja, looked after her, she was always close to my daugther. Ronja has since she was about 2 years come along with me in all my travels around, competitions, national team gatherings, and so on. So this with dogs she has learned early.
Ronja started early to want to compete herself, and her first unoficcial obedience start was with the anxious Border Collie girl we had, they did great together even the dog was not easy , they started both Norwegian class 1 and 2 together. But Ess got worse with age, and when she ran out of the ring and hide under a car, we decided it was her last start. Ess lived after that just as a familydog until she past the rainbowbridge, she is a great loss for us. After that Ronja was allowed to borrow Karma, and she has also borrowed Kondis from a friend of mine, not the easiest either. But Ronja trained and trained and got to start qualify to Norwegian Championschips as the youngest ever, and she and Kondis did a lot of nice exercises, and it was a great experience for my daguther to compete at senior competition. She are forever superthankful to my friend. She got a lot of praise from the judge about how good she was on leading the dog through the competition , and they look forward to see her again. Ronja has also been on agility courses whit Kondis, but sadly Ronja`s body cant handle the runs.
Ronja has previouse hatrick in Junior Norwegian Championschips in 2017,2018 and 2019 she won with Karma, NKKU was responsible of the event. Now everyone who dosent know better can think that its no problem with a so nice trained dog like Karma, but i can assure you that they had a dusin of trainingshours for me, in how command, which command to use were, and how to lead Karma through and keep here at work along all the exercises, Ronja did great. She has it in her fingertips, and loves to train and compete, and she has always said that : everything i ever learned i have learned from my mother. My mother has let me try and fail, she has yelled a lot when I have been sloppy but it has only led me to concentrate harder, and i hate to loose, so its important for me to give all and train hard and learn to do it the rigth way. Different dogs need most likely different kind of methods, so i have learn alot and have a lot of methods in my toolbox already. Ronja and Toxi became Juior Norwegian champion class 1/2 in sept 2022, so for now Ronja has 4 times juniorchampion.
Ronja has also sice she was 6 years been at dog summercamp one or two weeks a year, and there she has met other at her age who share the same intererest. At those camps they have not have so much obedience , but more about all around the job to have a dog, agility and tricks. In 2022 Ronja worked as an instruktor her self.
If everything goes as we hope, Ronja is going to train and compete whit the puppy after Si-Ja and Zavi, whit a litle interference from me. Ronja wants to do both obedience and herding, so she has a lot to learn and work whit. This is like Ronja`s dream come thruogh.
